ONLY SPEAK ENGLISH?? YOU'LL CAN STILL ENJOY THE SHOW!

If NOT speaking French is stopping YOU from coming to see Les Chiclettes, think again! Les Chiclettes are "user friendly" for francophiles and anglophones! First, there's Micky Rodgers, famous American producer who is giving Les Chiclettes their first break in NYC!! He doesn't speak a WORD of French and yet, he is willing to take a chance on these girls! Throughout the show, you will hear original songs, yes, but also standards from the American Songbook such as tunes from Cole Porter, The Glenn Miller Band and more! And finally, there will be a scene by scene highlights, in English in your program to help you stay on track as Les Chiclettes make their debut in New York City! We hope to see you at the show!!
DE WAWA À NEW YORK is an original show created by French Toronto based vocal trio LES CHICLETTES. Reminiscent of the Andrews Sisters with a French twist, Les Chiclettes are more than just a strong three part harmony vocal trio. They write, compose and arrange original jazz and cabaret songs along side musical director Michael Barber. Their original script is fun, entertaining, touching and refreshing!

DE WAWA À NEW YORK- SYNOPSIS
Wawa (Ontario), spring of 1945: Huguette (Julie Kim), Simone (Nathalie Nadon) and Vivie (Geneviève Cholette) get the opportunity of a lifetime to work for a famous producer (Michael Barber) in New York City. The three women are more than happy to leave their hometown behind to experience the Big Apple and all its possibilities. We soon realize that none of them left for the same reason, “to become a star”. Johnny, an oppressive mother, a bad reputation, an old snack bar, too many men, not enough men are all good reasons to skip town and live the dream in NYC!! Will Les Chiclettes make it in the city that never sleeps? Will they make it as the new hit vocal trio? Only one way to found out: board the Greyhound bus and follow them on their adventures and heartaches from Wawa to New York!
